More like a 3.5 ish I think. Of Sarah's three starter books, this one was my leas favourite. The writing style and the pacing/explanations felt a little off to me and I don't know enough about the world or feel strongly enough towards the characters to be really invested. So while I did enjoy the book, it didn't particularly stand out to me. Hopefully I'll have a stronger reaction to book two.
