I've really loved this series ... I've finished the first three books and am anxiously awaiting book 4. I must admit, I almost wish I'd waited, so I could read them back to back. No waiting in between. This set of two novellas just served to pull me back into this fantasy world while I wait. I didn't feel like these held any essential information, but I appreciated the peek into the lives of the girls when they were young, and more on the story of Elsabet.

Having the same narrator, the same tone and flow of the full novels, made this an easy addition to the series. I appreciated having it, and that the library carried it (sometimes novellas don't make it into the library system, but are pricey to purchase!)
