Aurora's End by Amie Kaufman, Jay Kristoff
4.0
This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free I bought it in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. This is another audiobook that I started and stopped a few times this year. Not because it was bad but just because I really struggled with audiobooks this year. It's only the last few months I have got my rhythm back and have been listening non-stop for the last few weeks.
Being the third book in the series we know and love the characters in Squad 312. The second book left on such a cliffhanger, with the team all split out over time and space I wondered how they would ever resolve the issues. The book required quite a bit of concentration which is one of the reasons I stopped and started it so many times.
In usual Jay and Amie style, they had me laughing and crying. There were a lot of tears, some happy some sad. Aime and Jay know how to bring out all my emotions.
Illuminae is the first audiobook I listened to and it made me fall in love with audiobooks. The reason for this is the full cast of narrators. I absolutely love that each character's POV has its own narrator. It gives such a rounded and encapsulating story.
I won't say too much about the story but it was a fitting ending to this series and I cannot wait to see what these two authors bring next.
