I don’t know what to rate a book that made my skin crawl for the first two hundred pages, which took a month to get through and almost made me abandon it, and then blew my mind in the last 100 pages, which took two days because I simultaneously couldn’t put it down but also needed to distance myself from the story and its characters.

I hated it and loved it.
