I gave the first book in this series 2 stars, but the third book intrigued me and when I saw book 2 was free, I decided to give it a go. Again, I like the premise, but the characterization is all over the place and people don’t talk or act like this. If it were over the top theatrical on purpose, that’s cool. But this is just stumbling from scene to scene without really understanding what people’s motivations are. And having met the dad of one the characters, who I believe is an MC in book 3, No Thanks.
