After picking this book up at the library on a whim, I was excited by the premise - a female detective in early 20th century India, the promise of a mystery full of twists and turns, the third installment in a popular series. However, quicky the phrasing became repetitive, I felt no connection to (or interest in) any of the characters and their problems, and I didn't care to see how the mystery resolved. DNF as I have plenty books in my TBR.
