a some what bleak, but interesting read given the subject matter (abuse through the lens of same-sex relationships) with a few memorable quotes:
“How many times had you said, “If I just looked a little different, I’d be drowning in love”?”
but the fictional/metaphorical chapters just didn’t work for me and prevented that feeling of intimacy that I like memoirs to have
