Once I got into the book I was hooked. It was a lot darker and twisted than I thought it would be and I enjoyed the characters and their dynamics. I felt the ending was rushed and didn't like that the event in the book concluded and then an immediate time jump to when everything was okay again. Would have loved that to have been fleshed out a bit more. But I definitely would like to read the next one about Michael and him dealing with the aftermath.
