Imogen, Obviously by Becky Albertalli
4.0
I can't believe I read a romance book and loved it as much as I did. This was so sweet, and Imogen really reminded me of myself in my early 20s. I was also a small town girl visiting my best friend at college, and still trying to figure myself out.
Imogen was also so funny, and I really enjoyed her personality throughout this. I related to her anxiety and fear of overstepping in a space she didn't realize she was actually a part of. All of the relationships between the characters also felt very believable, and as goofy as some of the dialogue was, that's what freshman sounded like when I was in college.
Also Gretchen irritated the shit out of me, which I suppose was a little bit the point. It felt nice that by the end I wasn't the only one mad at her 😅
