The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson
5.0
➸ 5/5 stars!
My superiority complex just reached a new level! After trial and error time and time again I have finally finished this book – and you may think that me starting this during finals week is inane but honestly reading this during this time only made me study more so I could read more of this book!
Brandon Sanderson the man that you are!!! I wish nothing but the best to you sir – this one single man single handedly created the equivalency of the Marvel universe. Brandon Sanderson has had me hooked for ages especially once I finished Mistorbon but after reading this I was brought back to life.
In the last like 100 pages my mouth was honestly permanently on the FLOOR! I mean all the way to the end of the epilogue I was in shock because WHAT!?This book may have been long but in the end it was worth it – the first 100 or so pages are seemingly slow until things start to pick up and then you realize why you needed to read all of that in the first place. 10/10 with everything, that comes with this hefty book
I love Kaladin with my whole life honestly – I don’t know how I feel about this but I might actually love him more than Vin. Kaladin went through SO FREAKING MUCH and I wish I could just give him a big ole bear hug. I am so glad he had Syl for so much of his time but I am also thankful that he had his men in the bridgecrew. #lovelivebridgefour
Welp onto the next Sanderson book because I can’t just stop now after that ending!!
“Szeth-son-son-Vallano, Truthless of Shinovar, wore white on the day he was to kill a king”

“Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.”

“It is not the destination that matters, but how one arrives there.”
