My Dad's Best Friend by Katee Robert
5.0
4.5/5 stars.
An age gap forbidden romance between a young woman and her father’s best friend?? Erm yes please! Featuring some of the best tropes including grumpy v sunshine character and only one bed, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I literally bought and finished it in a handful of hours, it was that good.
The sex scenes were really hot and explicit, but I loved to see that consent was so openly discussed and that even when being domineering Jonas always checked in with Blake to make sure she was okay with what was happening. Communication was a huge part of their relationship!
I also love that in Katee’s novellas we have an actual plot with characters you care about alongside the smut and it was no different in this. Both characters felt well developed and individual and their passions and personalities were clear to see even in such a short book!
This was a super hot, fun read and I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a new smutty book. I am keeping my fingers crossed for more books in this series!
