Ashes of You by Catherine Cowles
5.0
I'm entering my sad girl era since this is the last book in the Lost & Found Series. And the author saved the best for last. Lawson Hartley. Single father of three. Law needs someone to help him wrangle his trio of boys. His family and friends are willing to pitch in and help, but Law doesn't like to depend on them. When Hallie Astor enters his home to apply for the nanny position, Law is taken back to the time he rescued her. Hallie is definitely what his family needed. She's able to coax even the most taciturn of the three, keep them all in check, and bring love and warmth to their home. She treats the boys with respect and utmost care, which makes Law fiercely protective of her. Especially in the wake of a recurrence of missing young women who closely resemble Hallie. The perp was definitely not whom I thought it would be so that was a surprising plot twist. Their relationship was slow burn but the anticipation was fire. And when Law, Hallie, Luke, Drew, and Charlie are all together, it's clear they were truly meant to be a family.
Ava Erickson and Sebastian York brought their "A" game to the table when they voiced Hallie and Lawson. Stellar talent bringing the characters and their story to life!
