It was kind of simple for my taste. It’s like chicken soup or a hallmark movie. Happy ending, nostalgic, and not challenging or unexpected. I was wondering if the book would bring up some new perspectives about mother-daughter relationships or womanhood but it did not. Womp-womp. Still a decent book though.
