The rest of this review will be pointed at my friends and followers who've read This Is How You Lose the Time War.

I honestly didn't think that I would find another story that hit me with the kind of mind-fuckery that we experienced with Time War. It's different enough that you won't feel like you're reading someone else's attempt at Time War, but it definitely gave me that same "wait a second... Hold on, let me restart this entire book and take in everything I missed" feeling.

In Universes is very character-driven and follows the story of Raffi. We meet them in an array of lives and universes where their world and story has split off based on possibilities and choices that change their life and their relationships. We see their circle of friends as friends, lovers, and enemies as we experience a new universe in every chapter.

North's writing style was incredible, making reading this easy and interesting. I did receive a completed copy of this from the Publisher; however, I listened to the audio version from my library, and it made me wish that I had slowed down to really revel in the first listen of this story. I will definitely be going back to this when I need a pallet cleanser since this is so unlike all of my other reads.
