Elizabeth of East Hampton by Emily Harding, Audrey Bellezza

4.0

Elizabeth of East Hampton was a great retelling of Pride and Prejudice. I read Emma of 83rd Street and loved it. This book is right up there.

I really enjoyed the way the authors modernized the tale. I was wondering how things would be changed and loved it all. Lizzy and Will were the perfect take on Dary and Elizabeth. You could see all the things that are loved about Pride and Prejudice movies as well (hello, hand flex!) in the book. Lizzy's sisters and parents are a whole book in themselves. There are some tongue-in-cheek references to the original and how this book is different. Lydia has a great line towards the end that made me giggle.

I would recommend this 100% if you enjoy Jane Austen. I cannot wait to see what they do next.

Thank you to NetGalley, Gallery Books, and the authors for the e-ARC of this book. This review is my own opinion.
