RR writes slice of life stories that are so easy to read and get caught up in. Loved the slow burn, loved how the dialogue is written, loved the plot conflict and resolutions throughout.
Cather is kind of annoying (and I kept reading her name as catheter in my head), but maybe she's kind of supposed to be read that way. She doesn't suffer any real consequences, in any aspect of the book, and it makes her one dimensional. If anything, it all happens off page to her poor sister.
The type of book I wouldn't read again, but I'll have fond memories of it (and it gave us Simon and Baz <3)
