The Vega twins are back, still trying to navigate their new reality, avoid imminent danger, and survive the Celestial Heirs’ relentless torment, all while figuring out who they actually are. It’s basically part two of book one (seriously, why weren’t these just one big book?), with more chaos, more tension, and a side of Australian reporter Gus giving us Crocodile Hunter realness.

I’m a sucker for multiple POVs, so getting inside the boys’ heads? Yes, please. The insults? Hilarious, twat-waffle is 100% going into my vocabulary. The enemies-to-lovers tension? Still top-tier. That said, keeping track of which twin’s POV we were in? A bit of a guessing game. And while this ending wasn’t as rude as the first book’s, it still feels like one long, never-ending episode rather than a distinct instalment.
