Now Is Not the Time to Panic by Kevin Wilson

4.0

I really should take careful notes about where and when I heard of books that I feel compelled to pursue. Who was it that said magic words about this book that got me to check it out (large print edition; not for necessity, but availability) at the library, I think it was an author praising Wilson on their humor and imagination? I do not remember, but thanks, voice in the mist, for a pleasant recommendation.

It puts a fictional phenomenon, maybe most akin to the Andre The Giant has a posse sticker boom but gothier, in 90's America in a fun quasi-believable way. It captures teen angst and reconnections very well. It mentions GBV so of course It's one of the good ones. It's not perfect (some details seem a little too turnt up) but hey, I'm now going to read more Kevin Wilson books.
