Closer to 2.5 stars. This was highly recommended on reddit. I was not super impressed by it, however. The plot had great potential, but the entire book was poorly executed. There were redeeming portions and qualities. The writing felt choppy, and there were many missed opportunities to keep the plot moving or to mix the story up a bit. I did not feel like the MMC was as developed as the FMC, yet it was dual POV. I didn't enjoy it much and honestly almost DNF multiple times, but the reddit suggestions kept me going thinking maybe I was just missing something or the next page would make it worth the read. I did enjoy the ending.
