Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn

4.0

I really enjoyed this book. I accidentally spoiled it for myself by reading things on the internet before finishing it but there were still a few surprises and misdirection. I am so happy there was a film adaptation for this. I'm very excited to be able to watch it now and see how it compares to the pages.

EDIT: I forgot to mention I liked how OCD was displayed in the book. It's not the quirky neat freak we're usually shown in the media. This is more accurate to the very real disordered thinking that can manifest. It's not someone who keeps a tidy desk; its someone who has ruminating thoughts that can be overpowering and cause physical reactions and sometimes harm.
