Full disclosure, I grew up on this series so my opinion is necessarily biased.
I'm of the view that there is no such thing as a bad Asterix book ... but some volumes, like this one, are just okay.
As a child, this volume was not available in my library. I was almost an adult when I first picked up this one, and I was underwhelmed.
I understand that this was the last Adventure published in Pilot magazine (where the comic debuted) so the start of the Adventure feels like a farewell? I would say this is a relaxed adventure for the fans.
