I love this god damn series.

This novella is just as good as Edgedancer, and still added significant substance to a story that is already overflowing with material.

By far my favorite part of this little book, though, was the representation of a disabled character. Sanderson's insistence to have well rounded representation in his books is a breath of fresh air. In addition, it's obvious that he has done significant work to ensure he's representing minority groups with care and thoughtfulnes. Rysn's story is NOT "I achieve greatness and therefore lose my disability/gain an ability that overcomes it." Her story IS "I accept that I am abled differently and I am still an asset." It was refreshing to read about a disabled character that goes through growth that does not include "overcoming" their disability.

Icing on the cake- you get to read the Lopen POV chapters, and he's just as funny and just as surprisingly introspective as always.
