LISTENNNNNNN. This book had me in the first half ngl. I absolutely hated Chase, and the way this story reads is very much the characters TELLING us the story instead of the reader experiencing the story– which was really annoying. HOWEVERRRRRR BOYYYYYYY im not sure when the switch happened but all of a sudden im TEAM CHASEEEE!!!!

This turned out to be so good. I'm not usually a huge fan of the push and pull and push and pull between characters, because im a very say how i feel person and hope for the best lol. Yet Chase won me over VERY slowly. I can see exactly why someone may dislike this book though, because the characters are very....unlikable LMAO. Maddie is ✨ quirky ✨ and Chase is a complete asshole the ENTIRE time, but somewhere along the way (I'm not sure if its because this book felt long as HAIL) I slowly started warming up to them. I also loved the connections Maddie's mothers letters had to each chapter, and then the letter at the end had me
