The Whisper Man by Alex North

5.0

"Bad thoughts find empty heads". Tom Kennedy and his young son, Jake move to the town of Featherbank to start a new life after the unexpected death of Tom's wife. Unbeknownst to Tom, Featherbank is where Frank Carter, "The Whisper Man" serial killer once kidnapped and killed 5 people. The first week they settle in, a young boy disappears and people begin to make comparison to the Whisper Man, making people think that Frank Carter had a partner in crime. Soon Jake starts hearing the whispers at his window.

The mystery unfolds from the very first line. The suspense heightened throughout the story. There were points in the story where I had to stop reading because the was so creepy and scary. The author shines in respect to building the suspense. The story is so well written, I could not believe this was a debut novel. I could not put it down despite how creepy some parts were. The book read like
a great thriller.
