I read this book in one sitting and it was honestly one of the best books I’ve ever read despite focusing on such an important topic - this book is an essential read in my eyes.

The story grasps you from the beginning and you instantly worry for the welfare of the characters and route for their success.

I cried throughout the majority of this read but think it’s at the top of my recommendations. It was educational in a way that i feel is accessible to teens and above and gives insight into black experiences that we all need to understand the reality of as people who will never be subject to them.
