Absolutely loved this dark and disgusting book. It didn't feel like an exercise in shock value, nor did it feel like it was trying to impart some sort of lesson or judgement. It was simply a portrait of a woman searching desperately for meaning in all the wrong places, and it was all the more compelling for the author's refusal to moralise.
