Midsummer Night's Mischief by Jennifer David Hesse
5.0
I really liked this book! It was only the second ever cozy mystery book I've read, but I will definitely be finishing the series. As a Wiccan, this is the most realistic character I've seen in a book. Yes, there is Wicca and witchcraft in the book, but there is no broom-flying, no fireballs, nothing supernatural, just a totally realistic approach. It makes me wonder if the author is Wiccan herself? She certainly seems knowledgeable on the subject.
I thought the mystery was handled well, too. Of course, there were quite a few red herrings, but they all made sense and they all would have made sense as the culprit, which only makes the book more fun to read because I had no idea who the bad guy was going to be.
Overall, a great read!
