We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

4.0

This book definitely had me feeling some type of way. The main character, Cadence left me feeling so anxious, which was probably how she felt tbh. I see a lot of people saying she complained so much, I think that’s granted with everything she’s gone through and how in the dark she’s been. Doesn’t excuse anything, but I get a little bit why she’s acting this way. Next, let’s talk about how secretive this whole darn family is? Like what other secrets are going on? I feel there’s definitely more ( which, I’m guessing will be told I’m the prequel).

The ending, I slightly predicted because I was piecing some of the clues being shown and wow! It’s left me speechless and just WOW! I can’t believe that’s ultimately what happened to the 3 other teenagers & the dogs. I wish I had better words to describe everything I’m feeling but I’m just still in shock and trying to wrap my head around it.

Anyway, overall I give this book about a 3.5 or 4 out of 5. It wasn’t bad at all, some parts stressed me out but I think that’s part of the experience with this book.
