I couldn’t wait to pick this one up after the way Uncaged Desires ended. I feel like I still have to be careful with what I say because I don’t want to spoil anything for book 1 if someone hasn’t read it yet. 

 

The adrenaline rush that I had from this book as soon as I started chapter 1 stayed with me until the very end of the final page. I couldn’t get enough of Max. She could have easily just given into the life her “family” wanted for her, but she refused to go down without a fight and I absolutely LOVED that. 

 

Now onto Max’s men. They finally fully embraced that fact that it was all three of them or nothing (Caine took the longest let’s be real), and they worked together to make their rescue mission successful. I can honestly say everyone got what they deserved in this one. 

 

When Madi puts her mind to something she absolutely nails it. This was everything I could have possible wanted in a why choose dark romance and then some. I love the ending Max and her men got and I don’t want to take away from that at all….but I have sooooooo many questions about Danner it’s not even funny! I hope Madi decides to take another walk on the dark side to tell us her story at some point. I feel like it’s very rare to find authors that can switch between dark romance, morally grey MMCs and cinnamon roll, golden retriever MMCs. Madi is one of those authors that I feel like could write anything at this point! I know I can’t wait for what comes next!
