The Children of Húrin by J.R.R. Tolkien
5.0
5/5 Stars (%100/100)
I've read The Children of Hurin many times in 2 languages but this was a different journey for me. Initially, I sought to buy The Silmarillion (My favourite from Tolkien) but from the sample, I thought it is not for me. Then, I saw that the one and only Sir Christopher Lee reads this book. The Children of Hurin is a brilliant but probably the most tragic story by Tolkien. Sir Christopher Lee made the story much more effective and sad in my opinion. I've loved his acting and deep voice (especially The Raven of Poe by him). He managed to capture the emotions of every character alone and I am sure I'll listen to this in the future while reading the book. Simply brilliant! You would not regret this.
