I really like how a topic mentioned in the book is the idea of character floors and almost an idea of the fear of being rejected. SPOILER!
Considering Tom is having trouble trying to fit in, I think there's still likeable and relatable aspects to Tom Ripley, and the idea of his own perfection and wanting to fit in.
