The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran

5.0

it's like an hour with a teacher or a wiseman that helps you to reorganize the mess in your mind, direct your thoughts and feelings in the way they are supposed to be in.
I loved the idea of the prophet that comes from the seas and gets back to it once he finishes, that's what people really are in life; prophets in their lives and in the lives of the people around, once they finish their job then they are done.
Metaphors in gibran's novels are the best in the world, like he sees the world from the eye of the nature and listens to the voices with the ears of music.
There's too much quotes I love, but I choose this :
"Some of you say, “Joy is greater than sorrow,” and others say, “Nay, sorrow is the greater.” But I say unto you, they are inseparable. Together they come, and when one sits alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed. Verily you are suspended like scales between your sorrow and your joy. ONLY YOU WHEN YOU ARE EMPTY ARE YOU AT STANDSTILL AND BALANCED."
