Counterpoint by J.E. Birk
5.0
Counterpoint is Book 2 in the In Vino Veritas reboot of the lovely world of True North. And, it’s another outstanding release. It felt like a cozy blanket on a cold Vermont night, complete with spiked hot chocolate and your favourite comfort food. It was sweet, sexy, and deeply felt.
Jeremy is great. A fun, live life for the now and forget the rest kinda guy. But he’s hiding from some tough truths. Ones that mean he’ll never actually truly enjoy life until he’s faced them. He’s a vibrant guy and I love how he defends and protects Aaron.
Speaking of Aaron…le sigh. What a lovely guy. He’s always had so much pressure about what to do with his life, and he’s burdened himself with the opinions of others. It’s oppressive and messing with his head.
With Jeremy teaching Aaron to let go, and Aaron gifting Jeremy quiet comfort, these two are set to be beautiful together.
