I was legit shocked to see this with a pretty low overall rating. I thought this was so lovely and I totally teared up near the end, which I did not expect to do. To me, the oft-cited choppiness others mentioned felt natural to the episodic nature of their aimless quest. I thought some of the visuals were wonderful, like the cutaway of the boat filled with people, and some of the villages they visit. The imaginative landscapes and unusual coloring made it a joy to look at.
I agree it could have been a bit more coherent, but with the inclusion of their actual dreams, I sort of felt like the whole thing was a bit dreamy and fantastical, so I just went with it. I may keep an eye out for a copy to add to my personal library, because I might just want to feast my eyes on some of these pages again.
