i didnt like a single ones of these characters but they were so written so brilliantly that i couldnt help but enjoy richard’s outsider perspective. my only drawback was the
surprise incest made explicit 85% into the book?? it was more interesting when the dynamic was strange but only referred to offhandedly, like i did not need confirmation
