Howling Dark by Christopher Ruocchio
4.5
As I said in my previous review, I want to read this series quite quickly so that I can keep up with the current hype on booktok and I was really excited to get stuck into this following the ending of the first book.
This book was a huge notch up in terms of politics and world building. I’ve started to fall in love with Hadrian and I am shipping him and Valka. Hadrian does need a bit of a rocket up his arse bc he is so melodramatic, but it makes for very entertaining reading and a lot of highlighting.
The series is turning into non stop action and although I’m not confident I’m taking it all in (some of the sci-fi just doesn’t go in), I’m enjoying the overall plot and reading experience.
