Playing with Fire: The 1968 Election and the Transformation of American Politics by Lawrence O'Donnell
4.0
This is an excellent book. Sometimes the depths to which it ventured into political weeds shows it down, and I lost interest a couple of times, but overall it’s a great book that not only illuminates a key. In our history, but also explains a lot about our current political climate. The echoes between the 1968 presidential campaign and the current one our staggering.
I listen to the audiobook version, and Lawrence’s performance is fantastic.
