From the moment we met Loren in Lucky Shot, I was dying for his story. He was one of the most interesting characters I'd read in a long time, and he was only a side character! And now that he has his own book, I will literally never get over him. This book was everything Loren needed, and everything Loren deserved. Sweet Oakley was his perfect match. I loved how this book didn't skirt around the fact that Loren is a killer, and I also loved(even though I felt awful for poor Oakley) that he not only took out his original target, but was given another opportunity to protect Oakley by doing away with another awful human. The way Oakley cherished Loren, especially after learning what lengths Loren went to keep him safe and keep an eye on him, was what Loren needed to find in a partner so badly. There were so many moments of sweetness between these two, but there was also PLENTY of spice and whew, it was so very very spicy. I'm excited to read more of this series! I loved all of Loren's brothers and I'm interested in seeing who they each end up with!
