Castles in their Bones by Laura Sebastian

4.0

Triplet 16-year-old princesses Daphne, Beatriz, and Sophronia have been raised from birth to marry royalty from neighboring countries and then destroy those countries from within so that their mother the Empress can take over the countries without a fight. Daphne arrives in freezing cold Friv to find that her betrothed died six days ago. The king's bastard is legitimized and Daphne will marry him instead. Beatriz marries Cellaria's prince and finds that he isn't attracted to her. Cellaria's king becomes increasingly irrational and unpredictable putting Beatriz in danger. Sophronia marries Temarin's young king whose inattention and mismanagement are destroying the country already, but she decides that she wants to make things better. I did not expect what happened at the end of this book at all, and I'm curious as to how the story will progress. #CastlesinTheirBones #NetGalley
