Bringing Down the Duke by Evie Dunmore

4.0

3,5/5
Bringing Down the Duke has all the elements that I enjoy in historical romance, but somehow the setting felt a little messy - for instance, the organization behind the suffragette movement, which plays an important role, never really became clear, nor did the day-to-day of women studying at Oxford. I would have loved to learn more about these things. It’s understandable that the romance is the focus and I did love the chemistry between the couple, but as there is so much societal commentary going on, I wanted to understand it better.
