Total Recall by Kaitlyn O'Connor
1.0
Kaitlyn O'Connors' books would most likely win the prize of worst book covers if a such a contest existed.
I'm not saying that the books are equally terrible as the covers, in fact, I've loved most the of the books I've read written by her.
But not this one. This one is really bad. I hated the main character, Chloe is not the strong-willed and intelligent woman I'm used to read about on Kaitlyns' books.
Moreover, I'm starting to question if all aliens and cyborgs use the same expressions! Every time I read "Mayhap" I wanted to punch something. An advanced cyborg created by humans saying "Mayhap"? Shouldn't cyborgs speak like their creators?
Anyway, one thing that I also didn't enjoy was the fact that Chloe was in love (more like in lust) with a cyborg who took her virginity, when her dad decided to take her to a brothel! That was so ridiculous, and so unrealistic! Come on! Your dad takes you to a brothel? That just doesn't happen, no matter in which century you are born.

And why can't one character date and/or love only one man? Why? Is monogamy overrated? Not that I mind a little sandwich men action, but constantly reading about it makes me feel fed up with it.
These points I just made are just some of the few things I strongly disliked about this book. This book also helped me realize that I probably won't be reading more books of this series.
