"𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐚𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞. 𝐖𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐨 𝐛𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬."

This story, about Lily and Ryle is so deeply personal. I also relate to so much of what Lily went through as a child/teenager. This is a beautifully written story, that can be hard to read at time. It's raw and emotional, exactly what it feels like when you go through the events that Lily goes through.

This is the first book by Colleen Hoover that I have read, so I can't speak about any of her other books. I believe this book is outstanding. I cried through most of it, and I didn't want to have the feelings toward Ryle that I had. When I liked him, I was upset that I liked him. When I was angry with him, I felt sorry for him.

This book deals with abuse, homelessness, and rape. If any of those are triggering for you, this might not be the book for you. I did find that this book hit me hard, but it was so wonderfully done that I really liked the story overall. I can't say much without giving spoilers, but this book will stick with me
