I do not know why I cannot seem to vibe with this.

Maybe.

But I remember really enjoying Lucy Watson’s debut novel, *Shortcake*, when it was released and liking Nick as a character.

But this?

This is not doing it for me and I think Riley, the main character, is the problem, simply by virtue of being annoying.

But we are moving on and moving up and maybe we’ll change our mind in the distant future about this, but then again, maybe not.
