Sacrifices is a solid addition to the Shadow Grail series. This delivers exactly what a reader who has followed the series up to here would expect: lots of slow tension-building, and than an explosive pay off at the end. This one rushes quickly to a cliffhanger once it peaks at the end, and we've finally got a fairly clear picture on what the final conflict will likely be. Lines are more clearly drawn, so I am thinking that the next books may pick up a bit faster... we shall see!
