This book looked super cute and I was really excited to read it but as soon as I did there were multiple red flags. 1.) The way that the author writes young people seemed really cringe-y and out of touch. 2.) The references to feminism seemed superficial, and seemed to lack understanding and depth. 3.) The sapphic romance moments were really toxic, aggressive and coercive 4.) I found out that the author is not gay? Maybe she’s bi but she’s married to a man and doesn’t say she’s into women at all and that’s really suspicious to me if your debut novel is a SAPPHIC ROMANCE. Anyways, I’m disappointed and won’t be reading further.
