Taking off a star because I feel somewhat annoyed by queer books vilifying characters for wanting to stay in the closet. Yes, it’s unfortunate for their partners who want to be out and feel uncomfortable being re-closeted (?), but can we get at least have some empathy and understanding for characters who don’t feel safe to come out?
