Omen of Ice by Jus Accardo
5.0
Kaltania is determined to serve as the guard to a fae, something she's trained her entire life for. But the one she's assigned to is...difficult. Valen is the nephew of the Lord of Winter, and is an arrogant, annoying and insufferable fae. The two of them are forced into this situation by Valen's aunt, and will need to figure out a way to live through it.
Of course, when they begin to realize that they're far more connected than they should be, the entire game changes. Linked together, fae and human druid must learn to coexist with each other's feelings and magic. While they focus on the magic and how to fix it, their emotions have other ideas. Their banter is great, and I loved how well they worked together despite their initial disdain.
Everything was intricately designed to lead to the end, where everything was turned on its head with such a big twist I never saw coming.
