Happy Place by Emily Henry
4.0
This one really dragged for a minute for me, but Emily Henry knows best and I would trust her with my life. The ending of this one got me, as the endings of all her books do. Pure, romantic, hopelessly human. She writes her heroines with such grace and heart, her heroes with tenderness and softness. I loved the friends / lovers / exes / friends / lovers build up, I loved the Nora Ephron-esque romantic confessions, the “happy place” interludes, the big theme of change for individuals, partners, and friend groups alike. Just fantastic, as always. Emily Henry has my heart forever.
