Me by Elton John
5.0
I stumbled upon this audiobook on Scribd and knew I had to listen ASAP! So glad I did!! I've had a fascination with all things '60s and '70s for a long, long time. Maybe it was the Beatles influence of my friends when I was a pre-teen/teen; maybe it was the influence of these older girls I rode to school with in 2nd grade. I know I always loved Elton because he plays the piano and I did too. His music always just has a way of touching my soul. I've seem him once in concert and wish I had not missed his farewell tour.
I'm pretty choosy on biographies and autobiographies because I can find them boring if they are not about someone I like or want to know more about, but this one is just so well done, so raw and honest. I found out many things about Elton that I didn't know before but make me like him even more. I love the fact that Elton himself read the Prologue and Afterword. The narrator for the book's chapters was great and sounds very close to Elton himself.
