Parenthesis is about Elodie Durand and her illness in the form of a tumor in her brain that causes her epilepsy.

This was really powerful and moving. The subject matter was really tough but the graphic novel depicted Elodie's experiences well, I also loved all the abstract angsty drawings.

Most of the text in the graphic novel is in cursive and I found that text to be small and a bit difficult to read.

I don't rate people lived experiences so I will not be rating this graphic novel, I will just say that I really enjoyed the content and I appreciate the story being told.
